The Alte Schmiede on the Asitz – probably the most exciting restaurant poised between sky and snow. The hammer mill comes from the Kasserbach valley. 60 traditional arms-bearing bricks went to fashion the vault. The mill comes from the Liesertal valley in Carinthia. You’re bound to be fascinated by the filigree technique. And the mill still grinds ... the bucket lift was intended to make it easier for the pretty miller's daughter to carry up the grain.  "Marianne & Michael", popular TV broadcasters, were so enchanted that they decided to use the venue for a broadcast. German television programmes such as "Christmas 2002", Premiere World "New Year’s Gala 2003", the 2005 tour of the traditional music programme "Lustige Musikanten" ... all have used the Alte Schmiede as a backdrop. This ambience of the "Alte Schmiede" makes every day special.
