The outdoor challenge course

Our ancestors were driven to take many trips and journeys by a sense of adventure and the urge to discover new things. drove our ancestors to take many trips and journeys. Even then, success in exploring new countries and inaccessible regions was determined by group cohesion and the ability to adapt quickly to new situations.

We will go tracking in the Heutal, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The hilly meadows, stark rocks and roaring mountain brooks offer the ideal conditions for a contemporary journey of discovery, allowing you to meet various challenges.

Each team consists of around 5-7 participants.  Before starting, you will receive a roadbook and maps to orientate yourself in the area. After a final check and instructions, the teams will start at intervals, heading for the individual stations in sequence. Of course, the direction must be worked out together, and it can happen that a team gets stuck in the terrain, with all trees looking alike and good advice at a premium.

The route is approx. 3-4 km long, and is more or less circular. Thanks to the varied terrain, the length can be adjusted to the specific requirements of the participants.

Participants will navigate the main section of the course on foot. And there is a particularly exciting feature: the route can be extended to include a motorbike descent, followed by a white-water dinghy trip. All the elements which make classic competitive raids so exciting (the water section is not possible during winter). The extended version will require a full day.

Aims:

After mastering the stations, the group members should reach the target destination together ... equipped with a backpack full of impressions, experiences and memories.

Of course, a bit of competition injects additional excitement and generally motivates the participants to perform that little bit better. Therefore, if required, after the 'mini-raid' we will assess performances based on points and/or time.
